Collaborating For Clients Home

St. Peter’s Care Centres (St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke) and AbleLiving Services Inc. now share a Board of Directors and a new Chief Executive Officer, Steve Sherrer. Both organizations have a solid history and reputation for helping people maintain dignity and independence by providing appropriate support services, either in the community or in their “alternative” home environment.

By uniting under a new umbrella corporation, the two entities are exploring what might be achieved through a formally structured collaboration. Working together we hope to support more people by providing a variety of appropriate services through better resource management. Best practices of both organizations can be combined and operational synergies developed, which will culminate in enhanced and innovative services for people in need of assistance.

Over time, we hope that other like-minded agencies will join our group thereby deriving mutual benefits and advancing the evolution of a seamless health care continuum for those we are dedicated to serve.

Initial Strategic Directions for the overarching corporation are:

1) Use strategic partnerships to create systems value and impact for those served.

2) Ensure effective use of resources in providing quality and value in services.

3) Develop our human capital to be able to respond to client and organizational needs.

4) Enhance our messaging and brand awareness.

5) Ensure client needs and wishes are understood and reflected in the priorities set for delivering and enhancing services.
